- Quinoa( 1 cup)
- Apple juice( 1/2 cup)
- Salt( 1/4 teaspoon)
- Cinnamon( 1/2 teaspoon)
- A pinch of groung cloves
- Apple ( 1 medium)
- Walnuts( 1/2 cup)
1.Wash the quinoa by putting it in a sive and rinse it properly for 1-2 minutes with cool water. If a wire mesh sieve is not available then add quinoa into a bowl add cool water into and wash thoroughly. Allow quinoa to settle down and then carefully remove water. Do this for 4-5 times. Washing the quinoa properly is required to remove its outer coating which can make the taste of quinoa bitter.
- Add the quinoa into a pot and then add apple juice, salt, cinnamon and cloves and stir this mixture properly. Cover the pot and cook on a high heat to boil the mixture. When the mixture will start boiling turn the heat low and let it to cook on low heat for 15 minutes. After this turn off the heat and place the mixture as it is for 10 minutes uncovered.
- Then cut the apple into small bite sized pieces and also chop walnuts roughly.
- When the quinoa is cook add it intothe appple and walnut and shake well and then serve.
